Vocalist-producer-composer Morley weaves the threads of jazz, soul, and folk traditions into a singular tapestry of vocal and acoustic splendor — the sound wave of a life lived with uncommon devotion to human rights and environmental justice. She has graced a wide range of stages, including L’Olympia in Paris, the Nice Jazz Festival, The Barbican Center in London, Melkweg in Amsterdam, New York City’s Carnegie Hall, and The Nomad Women’s Festival in the M’Hamid Desert.

Her compositions embrace a uniquely global state of mind born out of her New York City upbringing, attending United Nations International School and The Duke Ellington High School for the Performing Arts in DC.

Over the course of seven studio albums through Sony and Universal, as well as independently released offerings, Morley has garnered an array of accolades, grants, and awards, and her songs have been licensed by network television shows as well as for human rights documentaries. She has been a returning featured performer and speaker at TEDWomen and sings for visionaries on the frontiers of change, moving minds and spirits as diverse as His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela, Mary Robinson, Betty Williams as well as at global solutions gatherings for Virgin Unite.

As a lyricist, Morley has contributed to albums for artists including Lizz Wright, Mocean Worker, Youn Sun Nah, Richard Bona, William Parker, Osunlade, and Yuri Buenaventura. Morley’s singing and speaking voice is one of the featured solo voices alongside Natalie Cole, Carly Simon, James Taylor, and Seal for Ralph Lauren’s “My Romance” fragrance campaign.

Morley spearheaded the release of the benefit album, Borderless Lullabies, featuring Yo-Yo Ma, Esperanza Spalding, Meryl Streep, Rosanne Cash and Toshi Reagon, among others, this album continues to be a source of revenue for pro-bono legal defense group, K-I-N-D (Kids In Need Of Defense) to aid in reuniting migrant children with their families. Morley also uses music as a tool for healing trauma when working with survivors of climate change and war.

In 2023, Morley produced and self-released a Various Artis, global children’s album entitled, Story of the Sky, (under the name “The Bruces”) with her writing partner and husband, Chris Bruce.
Morley’s new album, Follow the Sound is an expansive, globally minded, jazz-influenced offering that marks the start of a new chapter in the artist’s career. The 12 evocative compositions co-produced and co-written with GRAMMY®-winning producer Chris Bruce are at once a gentle conjure into the deep end of the heart, a celebration, and call to action.

"Ah, the joy of discovery — of finding that new rocker, that voice you’ve never heard, or of rediscovering an old favorite, back and in time form… Somewhere between Sade and Portishead, there’s Morley.” -TIME
