The young pianist was soon in-demand on piano and electronic keyboards, gaining the attention of the jazz world through live appearances and recordings with heavyweights such as Mike Stern, Ambrose Akinmusire, Jon Irabagon, Vincent Herring, Eddie Henderson, and Duane Eubanks. Performing and practicing constantly, Noah developed his distinctive voice as a pianist and composer.
In addition to Barron his mentors included Bill Charlap, Bruce Barth, Barry Harris, and David Hazeltine.
Acclaimed pianist Noah Haidu combines modernism, soul, and swing into his own unique approach. A favorite of European and American critics from Jazzwise (UK) to MusicJazz (Italy), Haidu’s most recent album Standards received 5 stars in the Swiss magazine Jazz ‘n More GMBH. At home he’s been featured in the Wall Street Journal, NPR, and Downbeat Magazine’s Best Albums list. His recording Standards reached #4 in the U.S. charts and he’s received millions of streams around the world.
Since 2020 Haidu has toured and recorded with his Standards Trio featuring jazz icons Buster Williams and Billy Hart.
Of his exemplary trio, Haidu says simply, “We are seeking the deepest level of expression. It’s not about technique, tricks, or trends. It’s all heart."
