Alicia, mezzo-soprano, and composer, conjures a sonic world where classical and African American cultures join. She creates music for operas, theaters, art exhibits, festivals, universities and has performed with Jason Moran (her husband), Bill Frisell, Charles Lloyd and the band Harriet Tubman.
